Special Education Teacher in Woodburn, OR

Multiple full-time contract positions are available for dedicated professionals passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs reach their fullest potential.This onsite role offers the opportunity to work with various age groups and specialized classrooms, ensuring that every day brings new rewards and learning experiences. Collaborate closely with skilled assistants to deliver individualized instruction and foster a positive, inclusive setting.There are several current opportunities:Elementary Developmental: 2 positions available serving classrooms of 15 students each with 6 assistants, supporting behavioral, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and communication needs.Elementary Behavior: 1 position working with grades 3-5, 16 students, and 5 assistants.Middle School Resource: 1 position with 40 students, collaborating with 2 shared assistants.Elementary Resource: 1 position split between two nearby sites (just 2 miles apart), 35 students total, supported by an assistant at each location.Middle School Behavior: 1 position with 15 students and the collaboration of 5 assistants. Qualifications:Active Special Education teaching certification/license in Oregon is required.Recent supervisor reference contact information must be provided for consideration.Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills.Experience supporting students with behavioral, ASD, and/or communication needs preferred. Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).Create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for all students.Work closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers.Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families and staff.Maintain accurate documentation as required by district and regulatory guidelines.
