Dental Assistant – Job Description (Indiana)Position Title: Dental AssistantLocation: Broadway Dental Care, Merrillville, INEmployment Type: [Full-time / Part-time]OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our modern, technology-driven dental practice. The ideal candidate will have experience with digital dentistry, including digital X-rays, CEREC systems, and intraoral scanning, and will help deliver high-quality care in an efficient and comfortable environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the dentist during a variety of procedures, including restorative and crown same-day treatmentsPrepare and sterilize instruments and operatoriesTake and process digital X-raysAssist with and operate CEREC same-day crown technologyPerform and support digital intraoral scanningPrepare patients for treatment and ensure comfort throughout proceduresTake and update patient medical histories and chartingProvide post-operative instructionsMaintain accurate patient records using dental softwareEnsure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standardsManage inventory and order supplies as neededRequirements (Indiana-Specific)High school diploma or equivalent requiredDental assisting experience preferredRadiography certification required in IndianaKnowledge or experience with digital X-ray systems, CEREC, and intraoral scanners strongly preferredCPR/BLS certification preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in a digital or paperless dental officeFamiliarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentPositive attitude and strong patient care focusWork EnvironmentModern, fully digital dental officeFast-paced setting with advanced technologyRequires standing for extended periods and use of PPEBenefits Competitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental benefits for Full time employeesPaid time off ,holidays, and sick daysQuarterly bonusContinuing education and training in advanced dental technologyBenefits:Medical, Dental, PTO, Bonuses
