The goal of the Medical Oncology department is to provide continuous, efficient care to patients requiring services for cancer or hematologic diseases.# The department is dedicated to supportive services that meet the needs of the patient population served in the least obtrusive way possible.# This is accomplished through a multi-disciplinary approach that is progressive and tailored to each patient#s need. Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process. Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of#PH#by providing the highest quality care. Required Skills # Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.# Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.# BSN preferred.# Obtains and maintains current certification (ACLS) as required in specialty areas (Critical Care).
