Irrigation Technician

Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Technician to join our landscape maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas. This role requires a strong understanding of horticulture, landscape maintenance, and the use of various hand and power tools. The Irrigation Technician will play a vital part in maintaining healthy, thriving outdoor spaces through efficient irrigation practices. Duties Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems including sprinklers, drip lines, and controllers Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions in irrigation components Adjust and calibrate irrigation timers and controllers for optimal watering schedules Utilize hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction equipment to perform installations and repairs Perform lawn care and landscape maintenance tasks as needed to support overall site health Assist with general landscaping tasks such as planting, trimming, and soil preparation Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each project Requirements Proven experience with irrigation systems installation and repair Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools Familiarity with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and horticulture principles Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and construction equipment safely Knowledge of landscaping techniques including planting and soil preparation Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Valid driver’s license preferred for transporting equipment or materials Prior experience with landscaping or construction projects is a plus Backflow Certified This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic outdoor environment while contributing to the health and beauty of landscaped spaces.
