Accounts Payable Specialist
The Related Group, a premiere South Florida Real Estate Development company, is seeking a Construction Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Miami, FL. Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable function including, but not limited to vendor/subcontractor relations, cash outflow management, and optimization of processes.Job DutiesPrepare invoices for entry (matching to purchase orders, code to corresponding schedule of values budget line).Oversee recurring project payments (leases, utilities, and services)Reconciling monthly statementsManage and maintain daily work queues.Supervise incoming AP email inbox and mailHandle all vendor correspondence via phone or emailInvestigate and resolve problems associated with the AP processing and vendors/subcontractor issuesPerform other duties as required to support the Construction Accounting DepartmentTimely prepare releases of liens and send to Vendors/SubsMaintain project general condition payments current (i.e. leases, utilities and services)Communicate with subcontractors regarding missing/pending documentsResearch and resolve accounts payable issues with internal departments and vendorsMaintain AP records and filesAnalyze & Reconcile AP GL Accts monthly by entityQualifications3 + years of Accounts Payable or Accounting experienceBilingual (English and Spanish) requiredExperience in Construction is a plusExperience working with Purchase Orders and A1A ContractsKnowledge of Yardi accounting software preferredEffective team player and able to work independentlyEnjoys a fast-paced and dynamic environmentAdapts to changing business priorities and timelinesMeticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsCustomer-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Benefits As a Related EmployeeBase Salary and Performance bonusMedical, dental, vision, legal services, flexible spending account.
