Job Title: Paint Inspector Job location: Milford, CT Job Type: Fulltime (with benefits) Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Coating Inspection:Conduct visual inspections of aerospace components before and after thermal coating application.Verify coating thickness, adhesion, and overall quality using specialized tools and equipment. Quality Assurance:Ensure that thermal coating processes comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory specifications.Perform inspections at various stages of the coating process to identify and address potential issues. Testing and Analysis:Utilize testing equipment to assess coating properties, including hardness, durability, and resistance to environmental factors.Analyze test results and collaborate with production teams to address any deviations from quality standards. Documentation:Maintain detailed records of coating inspections, test results, and any corrective actions taken.Prepare inspection reports and documentation for customer and regulatory compliance. Collaboration:Work closely with production and engineering teams to understand coating requirements and provide input on process improvements.Communicate effectively with colleagues to address quality issues and implement corrective measures. Equipment Maintenance:Ensure that inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or calibration issues. Compliance and Safety:Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to aerospace thermal coatings.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the inspection and testing processes. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or coursework in quality assurance is a plus.Proven experience in aerospace thermal coating inspection.Familiarity with coating materials, processes, and industry specifications.Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects.Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in aerospace manufacturing.
