Archaeology Technician
Braun Intertec is currently seeking candidates for the role of Archaeological Field Technician in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Fieldwork will typically entail Phase I surveys for local, state, and federal projects. Frequent travel is expected for this position. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Single occupancy lodging and daily per diem will be provided on travel projects.*Candidate must reside in Minnesota*Job Duties and Responsibilities:• Conduct archaeological field work under the guidance of a field supervisor.• Assist with mapping responsibilities in the field, including collection of GPS data using Trimble units.• Assist with the production of reports and other project-related documents. • Assist with lab analysis and curation.Requirements:• B.A. or B.S. degree in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field• Must be able to perform strenuous archaeological fieldwork (lift up to 40lbs and be capable of repetitive movement)• Previous CRM fieldwork experience in the Upper Midwest U.S. (preferably MN, WI, IA, North and South Dakota)• Demonstrated ability to collect accurate data and detailed notes• Experience with Trimble or other GPS systems• Ability to stand for long periods, walk long distances, and work in hot and cold climates• Must also possess a current valid driver's license, and be able to pass a background check and drug screening test#LI-CT1#LI-hybridCompensation Range:$39,600.00 - $59,400.00As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or disability status.Braun Intertec strives to ensure that its careers web site is accessible to all.
