These projects typically range from $50M to $200M+. The company emphasizes a hands-on approach throughout all project phases, from pre-construction planning to final execution. They are currently building multiple large-scale multifamily projects in the Arlington/Alexandria area and looking to bring on an experienced Assistant Project Manager for those projects.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Project Manager - Large-Scale Multifamily - Alexandria/Arlington will be responsible for:Assisting the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projectsPreparing and maintaining project documentation, including schedules, budgets, contracts, and reportsCommunicating with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and clients to ensure timely project progressConducting site visits to monitor work progress, quality, safety, and compliance with specificationsManaging and tracking project budgets, expenses, and financial reportsCoordinating the procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipmentMaintaining and updating project schedules using project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project)Organizing and participating in project meetings, and following up on action itemsAssisting with change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittal processesEnsuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policiesDocumenting project milestones, progress updates, and daily reportsSupporting the superintendent and field teams in resolving on-site issuesPerforming administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and document controlMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
