A global industrial machinery company in the Elk Grove Village, Illinois, area is looking for an Entry Level Field Service Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a Electrical Engineering academic background. Technical Training will be provided. This position is direct hire and full-time with an excellent benefits package. . Travel expenses are covered by the company.Entry Level Field Service Engineer Responsibilities Include:Travel to customer locations to identity any technical problems and perform on-site repairOffer installation support for the company's productRead mechanical drawings and blueprints to resolve issues and complete repairsInstall, repair, and test the equipment and related software and network systemsTrain and educate the customers on equipment operation and maintenanceProvide technical support to the customers via phone, email, and in personMaintain knowledge of equipment updates and changes in industry standards, processes, and proceduresDocument and report any issuesOther duties as assignedEntry Level Field Service Engineer Requirements Include:Associate's degree in an electrical engineering field preferredMust have a valid driver's licenseAble to use dial indicators, micrometers, voltmeters, and calipers or other kinds of measurement equipmentMust be able to travel (Up to 80%)Must have a mechanical and/or electrical backgroundMust be able to travel domestically and internationally if neededThis position is in a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
