Rust / Go Developer (Scanner Platform)

This is a high-priority role focused on core scanner platform components where performance, correctness, and secure software delivery matter. You will work on systems that handle distributed workloads, secure communications, and reliable update flows under real production constraints.ResponsibilitiesBuild scanner runtime services in Rust and Go with strong performance and reliability characteristicsDesign resilient ingestion and correlation pipelines for scanner telemetryImplement secure update workflows and verify package integrity end to endHarden service-to-service communication using mTLS and gRPCDesign robust retry, backoff, and throttling strategies for AWS and Azure integrationsRequirementsStrong Rust experience beyond basic application development, including async systems and performance-oriented engineeringExperience building backend systems in Go for production environmentsA solid understanding of distributed systems patterns such as CQRS and event sourcingExperience designing reliable event processing systems and understanding the tradeoffs around exactly-once deliveryDeep networking knowledge, including mTLS, gRPC, NAT traversal, and HTTP/2Experience implementing secure software update frameworks such as TUF or OmahaHands-on experience handling production cloud constraints such as throttling and rate limits in AWS or AzureMust Have3+ years of backend or systems engineering experience with strong Rust skills and production Go experienceHands-on experience with async runtime behavior, performance tuning, and concurrency tradeoffsA deep understanding of distributed systems and practical tradeoffs in event-driven architectureProven experience implementing secure update systems such as TUF or OmahaStrong networking fundamentals across modern service-to-service communication patternsNice to HaveExperience with no_std Rust or constrained runtime environmentsBackground building scanner, endpoint, or security platform productsExperience designing highly reliable event pipelines with clear delivery guarantees
