Job Full DescriptionA growing outdoor services company in Fargo, ND is seeking a hands-on Shop Foreman / Yard Manager to oversee daily yard operations, equipment organization, and shop coordination. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, highly organized, and takes initiative to keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain organization of the yard, equipment, and inventoryEnsure all equipment is properly stored, maintained, and job-site readyCoordinate with mechanics and support shop operations (1-2 mechanics on site)Track maintenance logs, oil changes, and DOT complianceAssist with diagnosing equipment issues and determining repair vs. replace decisionsSource and research parts as needed for repairsLoad/unload and move equipment (skid steers, trailers, etc.)Support job site needs by delivering or relocating equipment as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environmentProvide general leadership to ensure crews have what they need and stay productiveWork Breakdown:85% Yard management, equipment handling, and shop coordination15% Administrative duties (logs, parts tracking, research)Qualifications:Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to make sound, cost-effective decisions on equipment repairsExperience operating equipment such as skid steers (required)Willingness to learn or operate excavators, dump trucks, and payloadersHighly organized with strong attention to detailSelf-starter with the ability to take initiativeCDL is a plus (not required, but highly preferred)Schedule Flexibility:Flexible start/end times available based on workload.
