This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, highly organized, and takes initiative to keep operations running smoothly.Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain organization of the yard, equipment, and inventoryEnsure all equipment is properly stored, maintained, and job-site readyCoordinate with mechanics and support shop operations (1-2 mechanics on site)Track maintenance logs, oil changes, and DOT complianceAssist with diagnosing equipment issues and determining repair vs. replace decisionsSource and research parts as needed for repairsLoad/unload and move equipment (skid steers, trailers, etc.)Support job site needs by delivering or relocating equipment as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environmentProvide general leadership to ensure crews have what they need and stay productiveWork Breakdown: 85% Yard management, equipment handling, and shop coordination15% Administrative duties (logs, parts tracking, research)Qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to make sound, cost-effective decisions on equipment repairsExperience operating equipment such as skid steers (required)Willingness to learn or operate excavators, dump trucks, and payloadersHighly organized with strong attention to detailSelf-starter with the ability to take initiativeCDL is a plus (not required, but highly preferred)Schedule Flexibility:Flexible start/end times available based on workload.
