The ideal candidate is highly organized, operationally sharp, people-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced startup environments where structure and culture both matter.This is a highly visible role that will help shape how our client operates internally as the company continues to scale.RESPONSIBILITIESPeople Operations & HRServe as company lead for HR operations, employee policies, handbook management, benefits administration, and multi-state complianceManage the relationship with the company’s PEO and benefits partnersOwn employee lifecycle operations including onboarding, offboarding, background checks, I-9s, employee documentation, and leave administrationAct as a trusted internal resource for employee questions, support, and employee relations mattersHelp build scalable internal processes that improve the overall employee experiencePayroll & Administrative OperationsAdminister payroll across multiple states and entities, including bonuses and commissionsManage vendor relationships, office operations, and administrative workflowsCoordinate and manage workplace operations for the Denver HQ officeSupport company documentation, organizational systems, and operational recordkeepingPartner with external vendors and service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operationsTalent Acquisition, Onboarding & CultureRun a high-quality onboarding experience that helps new hires ramp quickly and feel connected to company cultureSupport recruiting operations including scheduling, ATS management, candidate communication, interview coordination, and offer logisticsPartner closely with hiring managers and external recruiting firms throughout the hiring processHelp drive employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, team events, and overall office experienceServe as a culture ambassador across the organizationWorkplace Operations & IT CoordinationOversee office administration and facilities coordinationManage relationships with office vendors, suppliers, and service providersCoordinate with third-party IT support providers to ensure smooth employee onboarding/offboarding and daily support needsHelp maintain organized internal systems, file structures, and operational documentationWHO YOU ARERequired7–12+ years of experience across People Operations, HR Operations, office management, or business operations rolesStrong experience managing payroll and multi-state complianceExperience supporting fast-paced startup, high-growth, or venture-backed environmentsProven ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities simultaneouslyStrong organizational skills and operational attention to detailExperience managing onboarding programs and employee lifecycle operationsExcellent communication skills with strong judgment and professionalismComfortable operating in an in-office leadership role at the Denver HQMust currently reside in Denver or be willing to relocate to DenverPreferredExperience supporting technical, robotics, hardware, manufacturing, or startup organizationsFamiliarity with HRIS/payroll platforms such as Gusto, Rippling, ADP, Paylocity, or similar systemsExperience coordinating recruiting operations and candidate experience workflowsPrior experience helping scale internal operations in a growing company environmentHR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are a plusWhat Success Looks LikePayroll, onboarding, and people operations run smoothly and consistentlyEmployees describe the onboarding and workplace experience as organized, welcoming, and high qualityHiring managers feel supported throughout the recruiting and onboarding processInternal systems, vendors, and office operations operate efficiently and predictablyThe leadership team trusts the accuracy, responsiveness, and execution of internal operations
