Assembly Process Engineer
Mission:
Development of innovative packaging solutions to ensure the safe, on-time delivery of parts with minimal quality issues and support production in activities regarding assembly engineering.
Main activities:
Packaging Activities :
Analyze all aspects (Man, Material, Machine, Method, Environment) in production process
Plan and design systems that maximize worker safety and reduce the risk of damage to the product • Choose and develop more efficient and safe packaging systems using new, existing or modified machinery and equipment
Monitor quality issues to determine improvements needed
Actively participate in the TPM process as an expert resource
Introduce or recommend changes to work methods, safety measures and labor
Determine the time impact of different packaging options on the quality, safety, and productivity of the production process
Control Plan Training
Assembly Activities :
Writes with the MPM the specifications. Assists the MPM on design for manufacturing.
Builds with the SPM/purchaser the cost technical synthesis of request.
Checks the technical documentation of the assembly means.
Technically follows the design, the built and the tuning of the assembly means.
Organizes and pilots the acceptances.
Organizes analyses and validates the capability of machines. Ensures a technical expertise to the production plant
Layout development of assembly lines, lineside storage and warehouse
Implement industrialization of all related equipment
Balancing of work stations
Time studies
Root cause analysis of scrap or waste in the assembly process and implementation of solutions
Driving continues improvement process for Assembly and Sequencing
Requirements:
B.S. Degree in Engineering
Similar position in another Automotive Tier 1 supplier
3 years of experience with assembly and sequencing process development including all aspects (man, material, machine, method, and environment).
Good understanding of HSE/ergonomics
Good presentation, Innovation skills
Technically adept
Able to work independently and within a team environment • Responsible
English proficiency
Live in Greer, surrounding areas or willing to relocate
