We are part of Sully-Miller Companies consisting of Sully-Miller Contracting Co., Blue Diamond Materials and United Rock Products. Each company supports the other. United Rock provides the aggregate, Blue Diamond Materials provides the hot and warm mix asphalt manufacturing, and Sully-Miller Contracting executes the projects. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Controller to oversee financial operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making processes and improve operational efficiency.Main ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reportsDevelop, implement, and monitor budgeting and forecasting processesConduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insightsCollaborate with operations and management teams to enhance cost control measuresOversee inventory management and cost accounting processesEnsure compliance with financial regulations and standardsLead financial audits and coordinate with external auditorsProvide financial support for capital projects and investment decisionsMentor and lead a team of finance professionalsMaintain and develop internal control proceduresUphold Colas ethics and business principlesAd hoc projects and reporting as neededPerform other duties as assignedEducationA bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in accounting, finance or other applicable degreeSkillsAt least 7 years of accounting work experience is acceptable for this positionConstruction industry accounting experienceStrong knowledge of both GAAP and IFRS including revenue recognition and lease accounting standardsPrevious experience managing a small teamIdeal candidate will have CPA and/or CMA certificationExcellent time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and follow-up on multiple concurrent tasksMust possess excellent skills with Microsoft Windows and MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel (intermediate level)Experience with JDE, Sage, Timberline, or other enterprise construction industry software a plusHighly motivated, positive, professional, organized, detail oriented, and an effective communicatorPhysical RequirementsAbility to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need requireAbility to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need ariseAbility to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workdayAbility to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correctionColas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
