Electrical And It Inspector For AviationLocation: Los Angeles, CA, USACompensation: 120-140 per hourEmployment Type: HourlyJob Type: Full TimePreferred Experience:Experience at the journey-level as an electrician, with a focus on the installation and repair of electrical systems in public works, institutional, commercial, or industrial settings.Experience overseeing and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations on significant construction projects.Involvement in complex projects that require coordination with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, engineers.Expertise in identifying and addressing deficiencies, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet the required standards.Must be open to learning the prescriptive items required by the agencyA strong understanding of diverse code requirements. Excellent communication and time management skills.Minimum Requirements and Certifications:Electrical/IT inspection staff shall have at 3 years or more of experience performing electrical/IT inspections; For tasks on the Airfield, 3 years or more of experience with airfield lighting is required.Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Electrical InspectorProof of NFPE-70E standards. Completion of training must have been achieved within the last 3 years30-hour Cal-OSHA training prior to assignment. The 30-hour training will have been received within the last 4 years.Fall protection and harness training.The ability to perform inspections for:Underground utilities and duct banksHigh-voltage switchgear and electrical panelsConduit racks, conductors, and grounding systemsInterior and exterior lighting systemsFire life safety systems including smoke/heat detectors and FM-200 suppression systemsElectrical shutdowns, lockout/tagout procedures, and breaker coordinationLow-voltage systems (voice/data, security, access control)Door card readers, security cameras, and public address (P.A.) systems Communication cabling and equipment rooms.Hardware /Software Experience and Proficiency:Knowledge of Project Management Information Software used for inspection/document control (i.e., Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PM Web, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, etc.).Computer proficiency to review and utilize electronic equipment for contract documents efficiently, including change orders, submittals, RFIs, and other inspection documents, with minimal supervision.
