Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller $90,000-$110,000 DOEKey ResponsibilitiesAccounting & OperationsLead monthly close processes, financial reporting, and account reconciliationsManage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset recordsMaintain and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries and daily transaction postingFinancial Planning & AnalysisDevelop annual budgets and long-term financial forecastsBuild financial models for sensitivity analysis, cash flow projections, and KPI trackingProduce dashboards, variance analyses, and financial reports with actionable recommendationsStrategic Business SupportPresent financial insights to executive leadershipSupport pricing decisions, strategic initiatives, and project evaluationsProvide financial analysis during planning and client-related discussionsControls & ComplianceDocument, enhance, and maintain internal control processesCoordinate external financial audits and collaborate with auditors and tax professionalsSupport compliance and regulatory filings, including tax-related and payroll reportingTeam Leadership & DevelopmentMentor or supervise junior accounting staff as the team expandsContribute to building a high-performing, growth-oriented finance functionQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within professional services or consultingStrong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling skillsProficiency with financial systems (experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is a huge plusStrong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insightsAbility to collaborate effectively across departments in a dynamic environment
