Our five-attorney team takes pride in delivering personalized legal services in a professional and collaborative environment. We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our team as an integral member of our staff and grow with our firm for the long term.Position OverviewThis is an in-office position supporting our attorneys. We are looking for someone who values stability, open communication, and contributing to a team-oriented workplace. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering excellent client service. If you need a phone on your desk, we are not the right firm for you - our firm uses Voice over IP for telephonic communication where your telephone is a program on your computer.ResponsibilitiesIncoming and outgoing telephonic and email communication with clients, other attorneys, and third partiesPrepare client deliverables including court petitions, collating, binding, and finalizing documentsFacilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely remindersMaintain organized digital and physical filing systemsAdhering to strict file naming protocolsUtilize electronic signature, calendaring applications, and other management systems to ensure each step of a project is completed timelyOther duties as assigned to support the firm's operationsRequired QualificationsPrior experience as a paralegal or certification from accredited organization Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel (including creating spreadsheets and using formulas)Experience with state court filing systems, and on-line access to court files.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detailStrong technical skills including PDF editing, merging, e-signing, and creating document templatesCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretionPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a law firm or professional services environmentInterest in legal concepts and willingness to pursue continuing education (paid for by the firm)Quick learner who adapts readily to new systems and proceduresWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly compensation: $32-$40/hour based on experienceComprehensive benefits package including:-- Health insurance with premiums paid mostly by the firm-- Retirement plan funded by us (the employer)-- Paid Time Off Two weeks and most federal holidaysFamily-friendly workplace with schedule flexibilityContinuing education opportunitiesLong-term growth potential including opportunities to expand responsibilities or specialization in our practice areasCommitment to health and safety protocols for all employees and clientsSupportive environment that values open communication and regular feedbackWork ScheduleThis position requires a minimum of 30 hours per week with preference for full-time availability.
