Tech Set up Specialist

Wachter is looking for a self-motivated Staging & Configuration Specialist to join our team in Lowell, AR! If you’re a reliable technician who loves solving problems and seeing a project through to completion, we want to hear from you.This is a temporary, 2-3 month in-office assignment for the following shifts:1st 8am-4pm2nd 4pm-12am3rd 12am-8amThis in-office position is responsible for gathering critical information for AV hardware, rack fabrication, and system testing of systems. You will be focusing on AV hardware, rack fabrication, and system testing.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Displays understanding of basic AV systemsDisplays knowledge of AVIXA rack-building standardsGathers critical information from AV hardware:Serial numbersMAC addressesFirmware versionsSoftware versionsUsername and passwordIP addressesTests and configures AV equipment:Updates firmwareMocks up system in lab per engineer provided drawingsBuilds AV Equipment racks per AVIXA standardsMaintains AV warehouse inventory spreadsheetMaintains AV rack fabrication areaWorks with AV programmers to push system configurations and programming to AV systemsAssists AV engineers with testing AV systems in shopPackages, labels, and ships AV systems once fully testedWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:Ability to lift 50-75 lbsAbility to use basic hand toolsAbility to work overtime as requested by AV Engineering ManagerAbout:Wachter is a family-owned company since 1930 and we see each employee as a critical piece of the Wachter Family.
