Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 hiring bonus available for eligible external hires who meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. Job Summary: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides healthcare services using radionuclides to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires advanced technical skills to perform a broad range of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of imaging data, and other specialized tasks necessary to produce diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. The technologist exercises professional judgment while delivering compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine imaging and diagnostic procedures Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols Operate imaging equipment and perform computer processing of diagnostic data Ensure high-quality images for physician interpretation Monitor patients during procedures and provide appropriate patient care and education Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support quality patient outcomes Required Qualifications: Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist training program National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hire OR National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology certification upon hire California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire Minimum of 6 months of nuclear medicine experience within the last year, or at least 2 years of full-time experience with no more than a 1-year absence from nuclear medicine practice Preferred Skills: Strong technical knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and imaging systems Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical environment Commitment to ethical and compassionate patient care
