HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this engineering and design leadership role.This role requires a licensed Professional Engineer with strong geotechnical design expertise, capable of owning projects from concept through execution while contributing to business-facing initiatives such as estimating and proposals.HireNow Disqualifier: Candidates with jumpy or inconsistent work history will not be accepted or interviewed.Key ResponsibilitiesLead design of retaining walls, MSE walls, shoring systems, and deep foundation solutionsPerform geotechnical and structural calculations, including stability analysis and value engineeringPrepare, review, and seal engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reportsCollaborate with contractors, developers, and engineering stakeholdersProvide technical support during construction phases (RFIs, troubleshooting, field coordination)Contribute to estimating, bidding, and proposal development effortsReview project bids and support revenue-driven decision makingMentor junior engineers and CAD staff to maintain technical quality standardsRequired Qualifications (Highly Important)Bachelor's or master's degree in civil or Geotechnical EngineeringActive Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license (non-negotiable)Minimum 5+ years of geotechnical or foundation design experienceDemonstrated experience with retaining walls, shoring systems, and deep foundationsWorking knowledge of FDOT standards and project environmentsProficiency with design tools (AutoCAD, LPILE, Slide, Deep Excavation, or similar)Experience supporting estimating, bids, or client-facing interactionsStable and consistent employment historyPreferred Qualifications (Strongly Valued)Experience in design-build or contractor-side environmentsExisting relationships with FDOT, general contractors, or developers in Central FloridaStrong commercial awareness with ability to support business growth initiativesExperience leading or mentoring engineering teamsExposure to complex soil systems and large-scale infrastructure projectsHireNow DisqualifiersNo active Florida PE licenseEIT certification only (without PE licensure)No geotechnical or foundation design experienceStructural-only background without MSE wall or foundation exposureJumpy or unstable work historyLimited hands-on design ownership experienceHireNow ChecklistHireNow Staffing is recruiting candidates who align with the following:Active Florida PE license with strong technical credibility5+ years of geotechnical and foundation design experienceProven experience designing retaining walls, shoring, and deep foundation systemsComfortable owning projects from design through construction supportExperience working with FDOT or similar infrastructure standardsAbility to contribute to estimating, bids, and client-facing discussionsStable employment history demonstrating growth and accountabilityIdeal Candidate Profile:Hands-on engineer with both technical depth and business awarenessComfortable operating in design-build or contractor-driven environmentsStrong communicator who can collaborate with internal teams and external partnersMotivated to contribute to both engineering execution and operational growthHireNow PackageSalary: $100,000 - $115,000 base + bonus potential (flexibility at top end for strong candidates)Location: Onsite in Orlando, FLSchedule: Full-Time | OnsiteBenefits:Performance-based bonus potentialExposure to FDOT and large-scale infrastructure projectsOpportunity for technical leadership and mentorshipInvolvement in both engineering and business operationsPotential travel for project supportHireNow Staffing DisclaimerHireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this role.
