No relocation is offered.Schedule: Day shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a hybrid schedule available. Work remotely two days a week, excluding Mondays and Fridays.Top Required Skills:Solid background in the manufacturing industry.At least 5 years of experience in cost accounting.Advanced Excel skills.Experience with JDE, Hyperion, and Smartview is a plus.Proven experience leading a project from start to finish.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Highly analytical and detail-oriented.Solid costing knowledge with the ability to explain and persuade others to implement new costing systems.Stable work history is preferred.Travel: Domestic travel may be required to local manufacturing facilities. Travel expenses covered.Interview Process: 1st round virtual; 2nd round may be virtual or in-person.Bonus: ICP bonus of 10%.Job Role: Lead and manage the current implementation project of a proper costing system, primarily focused on coating.Job Summary: Reporting to the VP of Finance, responsible for conducting complex cost analysis and audits associated with the cost accounting function for Tuboscope, primarily across the Corrosion Control Plants. Lead the finance team in implementing the Cost Configurator module within the ERP system to provide better cost and margin visibility to the organization.Job Responsibilities:Partner with Plant leadership to assist in financial analysis and decision-making.Implement and maintain the Cost Configurator module in JDE for Tuboscope facilities.Develop and manage processes ensuring the accuracy of job costing standards.Ensure integrity of Work Order processing from material issues, labor postings, and associated variances.Provide insight and guidance to profitability of various functions and products within the Plant.Review and monitor WIP and outside process clearing account and adjust as necessary.Annual Budget and rolling Forecast to include Hours, Headcount, and Production expenses (Direct and Indirect).Support production team with ad-hoc inquiries, requests, and reporting.Work closely with Plant management to analyze daily, weekly, and monthly work in process (WIP).Review accuracy of Plant processes, including Purchased parts cost verification, Router development, Overhead cost verification, Labor rate verification.Produce and analyze month-end reports, including variance reporting and plant Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) performance.Perform duties associated with SOX compliance, including WIP reconciliation, WIP subledger aging, Inventory reconciliation, and Manufacturing - Segregation of Duties.Prepare ad-hoc data analysis and reports for operations management as needed.Review balance sheet and P&L accounts and provide detailed variance explanations and resolve potential errors.Technical Competencies:Strong Excel skills.Strong skills and knowledge of accounting theory and application of financial principles.Experience with Hyperion & Smartview is beneficial.Strong experience with JDE or similar accounting systems related to job costing.Job Specific Competencies:Excellent communication and organization skills.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.Ability to analyze manufacturing process costing, identify variances, and drive adjustments to standards.Skilled in identifying trends and drawing conclusions from large amounts of data.Pro-active operating style with high energy level and tolerance to tight deadlines.Ability to build and manage a team.Education & Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree (Accounting/Finance preferred).Minimum of 5 years cost accounting experience or equivalent preferred.
