Maintenance Mechanic

Facilities/Forklift Equipment Technician The Facilities/Forklift Equipment Technician will be responsible to ensure that all powered industrial equipment and mechanical equipment is well maintained and operational to enhance productivity, maintain safety standards, and minimize down time.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and preventive maintenance for all warehouse and office equipment, ensuring proper operating conditions. Equipment includes conveyors, racking, lighting, security, forklifts, material handling equipment, fire protection and plumbing systems.Maintain logs of all preventive and breakdown maintenance performed on conveyors, forklifts and fire protection systems.Perform light janitorial and other duties as assigned.Complete tasks assigned by Management. Ensure that all tasks are completed in a safe, timely and correct manner.Maintain positive open lines of communication with all management, staff and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.Responsible to diagnose any mechanical, electrical, or any other breakdown or failure of a forklift.Ensure forklifts are in safe and in working standard.Adhere to established federal/state/company safety procedures.Perform various repairs upon general instructions from the department supervisor.Perform other duties as assigned.EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEHigh school education, vocational or technical training or equivalent.1-2 years experience working in industrial environmentExperience with Dematic/Rapistan and Hytrol conveying systems is required.
