Partner - Corporate Tax Leader, San Francisco Bay Area

Fast-growing CPA and Advisory firm seeks a dynamic, experienced Go-to-Market Tax Leader to head up the Corporate Tax practice in its Bay Area offices. The Partner would serve the needs of existing or new firm clients, principally in the technology sector. Our client is a leading mid-tier firm and receives year-after-year accolades as one of the "Best Firms to Work For" and "Best Accounting Firms" from leading trade publications. Successful candidates will have deep and meaningful relationships within the local business community and a proven track record of developing new business.Business Development:• Strong business network in the technology industry within the Bay Area, build and maintain client relationships, and expand the firm's corporate tax client base.• Collaborate with technology industry leaders and other Bay Area partners to develop and maintain key client relationships and generate new opportunities.• Play a key role in proposal delivery, client presentations, and execution of strategic firm initiatives.Technical Expertise:• Stay current on corporate tax regulations, industry trends, and best practices to provide valuable insights and guidance to clients.• Well versed in GAAP ASC 740 under both AICPA and PCAOB standards, especially servicing clients with Big4 auditors• Ability to act as your client's "VP of Tax" when the Company has no, or a very small tax function.Market Strategy and Leadership:• Work closely with firm leadership to develop and execute the corporate tax go-to-market strategy for the Bay Area region, especially as it relates to the technology industry.• Attract and retain top talent to build a best-in-class corporate tax team.• Collaborate with other business units to identify and expand relationships for various service offerings.Thought Leadership:• Speak at industry events and position the firm as a thought leader in corporate tax within the Bay Area market.
