Details Work in the Oncology unit of a 426-bed, short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System Level II Trauma Center facility Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Every other weekend rotation required Holiday coverage required as needed Floating to other Med/Surg units required as needed Charting performed in Epic (experience required) Free parking available on-site Requirements Active CT or Compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC) Chemotherapy administration certification required Epic EMR experience required Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Candidates must not have any disciplinary actions or priors on their nursing license Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler 1 professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Provide oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration to patients in an acute care setting Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed Royal blue scrubs required Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility American Traveler Job ID P-687407.
