This is purely an applications support role, however, they need to be hands on with AWS as well. On AWS, they will be very hands on with Python (creating code, maintaining current applications written in Python, etc.) so Python is a necessary component here. This is not supporting a shared service, they are simply supporting all of the applications within the teams portfolio.This team does half development work half production support. This person needs to have a development understanding but doesn’t necessarily need a lot of experience in development. They will be supporting a number of applications within the Chief Data Officer’s organization. Would be able to get development experience once on the team – they have a strong team that will be able to get them up to speed on a lot, but they need to be willing to put in the work to learn.
