DescriptionMachine Operator $17.00/hr. + 7% quarterly incentive 1st Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)Who we are looking for:We are currently searching for a Machine Operators to be based out of Kokomo, IN. Reporting to Production Supervisor, the Machine Operator will be responsible for operating machines, receiving manufacturing orders to cut, bend, swage, or punch while following customer specifications and packaging by bundle, box or square collar.What you'll do:Adherence to Atkore Safety / Life Saving Rules is paramountDemonstrate core valuesCheck and receive manufacturing ordersBending, cutting, swaging, punchingSet-up skids, racks and hex bundlesBanding, packaging and knowledge of suppliesQuality checking OD, gauge, length and packaging requirementsProblem solvingStandard work training, 5S, lean sustainment and problem solvingObtaining quality product and meeting customer packaging requirementsCommunication skills to apply strong manufacturing guidelines with strategic planning focusAll duties as instructed by supervisionWhat You'll bring:High school degree or GED equivalentOne year of manufacturing experience is preferredTeam approachStrong math skillsBasic knowledge of manufacturing machinesAbility to distinguish various cosmetic flawsLean concept sustainment & problem-solving skillsSafety action orientatedAbility to give verbal instruction, build positive relationships, and good organizational skillsFlexibility of shift schedule including overtime and weekendsMust possess an outgoing positive attitude, be a team player and have strong work ethicDemonstrates Atkore Core Behaviors - Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and ExcellenceWithin 3 months, you'll:Complete all required training.Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy.Gain an understanding of your team.Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team owns.Who we are: Atkore is a five-time Great Place to Work certified company and a four-time Top Workplaces USA award winner! Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
