Details Emergency Department (ER) unit in a hospital setting Level I Trauma Center environment requiring independent care of Level 1 trauma patients in the Trauma Bay Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) Every other weekend (EOW) requirement Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 4:1 or 5:1 depending on assigned area Epic EMR experience required Local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility are considered Requirements Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (both via AHA), TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) 3–5 years of Level I Trauma ER experience required Ability to function independently providing care to Level 1 trauma patients in the Trauma Bay Nursing degree from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) with at least 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital Epic EMR experience required Additional Information Smoke-free facility All certifications must be current and in hand at time of consideration Proof of vaccination status required — declinations are not accepted Candidates must pass a Basic Arrhythmia (EKG) assessment; if the lethal rhythm section is not passed with 100%, a retake dysrhythmia exam (Dysrhythmia Exam B) must be completed within 24 hours with the following passing scores: overall Angoff score of 83% or higher, 100% in the lethal rhythm section, and 83% in all other sections A study guide and tips to help prepare for the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's online orientation portal American Traveler Job ID P-678198.
