Applications Lab Technician II - Fragrances

With our passion, creativity, and innovation, “We capture what moves”. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Applications Lab Technician to join our talented team in Parsippany, NJ! In this role you will be responsible to provide support to R&D, Sales, Category Management, and other departments by preparing small-scale blends of specific formulas as written. This position requires intermediate laboratory skills and knowledge to develop solutions of moderate scope and complexity while developing competencies for the next level. Works under general supervision. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Completes and coordinates all requests for applications samples and testing. Prepares cosmetic and household bases, both proactively and on request, for presentation to customers, as well as for in-house use. Keeps log of customer bases and packaging. Orders raw materials, packaging, and other supplies. Maintains stability program, including sample storage and retrieval, filing appropriate paperwork, and coordination with Evaluation/Perfumery depts. Develops and recommends color formulations for hydroalcoholic colognes and other products. Assists Production Dept. in coloring of batches. Works with customers on technical problem solving. Maintains safe and orderly laboratory. Represents the company at select SCC meetings. Handles special tasks and projects as requested in order to meet company objectives. Interacts with: All internal departments. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Scientific/Technical studies preferred, or equivalent experience 3+ years’ work experience in a fragrance lab.
