Multi-Store Automotive Controller

I’m partnering with a rapidly expanding automotive retail group to identify an experienced Multi-Store Controller to oversee accounting operations across multiple dealerships.This is a high-visibility leadership role within a growth-focused organization known for strong performance, operational excellence, and continued acquisitions.If you’re a dealership Controller who enjoys partnering with GMs and influencing business performance, this is a great opportunity to step into a larger platform.The OpportunityThis role oversees accounting operations across multiple dealership locations and plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and supporting executive leadership with timely reporting and analysis.You’ll work closely with General Managers and senior leadership to improve store performance, manage risk, and drive process improvements across the accounting function.What You’ll Do• Lead and mentor dealership accounting teams across multiple locations• Oversee the general ledger, financial statements, and month-end close• Review schedules and balance sheet reconciliations and implement corrections as needed• Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies/procedures• Partner with GMs to improve store profitability and performance• Develop KPIs and benchmarks to measure financial and operational success• Monitor expenses and vendor relationships• Deliver daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting to leadership• Provide financial analysis and operational insights to leadership teamsRequirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• Multi-store automotive Controller experience required• CDK experience required• Proven leadership and team development experience• Advanced Excel and strong systems skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment• Stable work history and strong professional references
