Job Details:We are seeking a highly
motivated and skilled Permanent Automotive Controller with a strong
background in finance and ledger management. This position provides
an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the mortgage
industry, where you will be responsible for overseeing the
financial activities of the company's automotive division. You will
be instrumental in driving financial success and ensuring
compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position requires
a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for
achieving financial excellence.
Responsibilities:1. Oversee all
financial operations within the automotive division, including the
preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgeting,
forecasting, and financial planning.
2. Ensure the
accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and
financial reports.
3. Develop and implement robust
financial controls and processes to ensure compliance with
regulatory requirements and company policies.
4. Provide
strategic financial insight and guidance to senior management,
including the identification of financial risks and
opportunities.
5. Coordinate with other departments to
ensure proper accounting for all transactions and alignment with
financial objectives.
6. Lead the month-end and year-end
close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. 7. Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals,
fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional
development.
8. Collaborate with external auditors and
manage the audit process.
Qualifications:1. Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA
certification will be an added advantage.
2. Minimum of
5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably
in the automotive or mortgage industry.
3. Expertise in
financial management and general ledger systems.
4.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards. 5. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze
complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements,
and projections.
6. Strong leadership skills with a
proven track record of managing and developing a team. 7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,
with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial
information to non-financial stakeholders.
8. High level
of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and
results-orientation.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
