Staff Pharmacist - Long-Term Care PharmacySouthwest Chicago Suburbs$123,000 – $133,000 + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus + Full BenefitsFull-Time | Multiple Schedule Options AvailableSchedule OptionsMultiple full-time schedule options may be available, including rotating day/evening shifts and a 7 on / 7 off evening shift schedule. The 7 on / 7 off schedule includes Monday–Friday, 11:30 AM–11:00 PM, and Saturday–Sunday, 8:00 AM–7:30 PM, followed by 7 consecutive days off before the schedule repeats.As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely review, verification, and dispensing of medications. You will work closely with pharmacy leadership, nursing staff, and healthcare providers to support safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmacy operations. This role is critical to the continued growth and operational success of the pharmacy as it expands from a regional provider to a larger long-term care pharmacy organization.ResponsibilitiesInterpret and identify prescription ordersVerify prescription order entry in the pharmacy systemPerform prospective drug utilization reviewsConduct final checks on dispensed prescription productsCommunicate with medical and nursing staff by phone, fax, electronic communication, and other channelsMaintain high standards for accuracy, productivity, quality, and patient safetySupport immunization clinics at community partner facilities as neededCollaborate with pharmacy team members and promote a positive, team-oriented environmentParticipate in required meetings, compliance training, and operational initiativesMaintain a safe, secure, and professional pharmacy environmentRequirementsActive Illinois Pharmacist License in good standingLong-term care pharmacy experience preferredFrameworkLTC experience is a plusStrong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work under deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalismReliable, punctual, and able to perform required duties on a regular and predictable basisStrong communication skills, including oral, written, and listening skillsAbility to perform under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and solve problems proactivelyProfessional demeanor, strong customer service mindset, and collaborative approachCompensation & Benefits$123,000 – $133,000 base salary$5,000 sign-on bonusMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchLife and disability insurancePTO and paid holidaysEmployee Assistance ProgramClosed-door LTC pharmacy environmentSupportive team cultureOpportunity for growth and long-term stabilityMeaningful work supporting patient care
