Sr. Scrum Master / Technical Project Manager – Teradata & Databricks

Title: Project Manager: III (Senior)Location: Atlanta, GA 30308 (Hybrid: 2x/Week)Duration: 6+ Months, Long-term.Industry: Rail Transportation. Description:Looking for a Sr. Scrum Master / Technical Project Manager – Teradata & Databricks:Provide status updates for executive and leadership reporting, ensuring alignment on key project milestones, progress, and any blockers.Own project-level risks, issues, and blockers, ensuring that all concerns are escalated in a timely manner for resolution.Facilitate the Scrum process, including conducting Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Story Refinement Sessions/Backlog Grooming, and Sprint Retrospectives, as applicable.Keep the team organized, on track, and focused on priorities.Be responsible for story management per PMO and Program Management Standards/Guidelines.Work with Scrum/Project Teams to keep stories updated to reflect their current status.Assist Process Owners/Managers in coordinating content for Program Increment (PI) demos.Support Process/Product Owners by helping organize and prioritize the backlog, ensuring that the team is prepared to present their plans effectively during PI Planning.Provide program-level guidance on Agile/Jira standards and frameworks, identify gaps, and establish consistent expectations and standardized practices across all ITSMO Scrum teams to ensure alignment with the overall program delivery approach.Act as a liaison between the leadership team and project teams, ensuring that leadership priorities are communicated effectively.Accountable for meeting agreed-upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality measures.Develop Jira boards and project plans and drive project milestones. Establish an effective communication plan with the project team and key stakeholders. Ensure effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Responsible for the preparation of documentation, daily standups, status reports, and time accounting.The role requires a data background in Data Science and Data Governance; experience with Teradata and Databricks is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.Specialized knowledge of JIRA, Agile Scrum, Visio, Excel, and Word is required. Must have CSM certification.Sr. Scrum Master / Technical Project Manager – Teradata & Databricks responsible for driving Agile project delivery, managing scope, cost, schedule, quality, risks, issues, blockers, milestones, change management, and stakeholder communications. The role facilitates Scrum ceremonies, manages Jira boards, user stories and backlogs, supports PI Planning and PI demos, provides executive status reporting, and establishes consistent Agile/Jira standards across Scrum teams. Requires strong experience in Project Management, Agile Scrum, Scrum Master responsibilities, PMO/Program Management standards, executive reporting, stakeholder management, risk management, and project planning, along with a background in Data Science and Data Governance. Specialized knowledge of JIRA, Agile Scrum, Visio, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is required; experience with Teradata and Databricks is preferred. Candidates must have excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, analytical, decision-making, judgment, and problem-solving skills, and must hold a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
