Wholesale Job ScopeWe’re hiring a Freelance Wholesale Sales Rep (Project-Based) to help expand OnlyNY’s home goods and stationery into museum shops and elevated retail.This is a short-term, focused engagement designed to open new wholesale accounts.Not a traditional commission rep role.About the brandOnly NY is an independent New York City-based brand driven by the city, outdoors,and arts. It runs its Stanton Street flagship and is stocked by selectNew York retailers including the MoMA Design Store, New York Transit Museum, andPosman Books.Scope of work (4–8 week project)Work from a provided targeted list of cultural institutions and retailers, design/interior retailers, and legacy department stores.Source and connect with buyers and decision-makersLead outreach via email, phone, and in-person where relevantPresent line sheets, catalogs, and brand positioningCoordinate or deliver physical samples when neededSet up meetings and manage follow-upsDrive toward opening new wholesale accounts and collecting ordersIdeal candidateExperience in wholesale sales, retail partnerships, or showroom salesExisting network of buyers in museum retail, design stores, specialty gift, or department storesFamiliar with Only NY and its brand positioningStrong communication and pitching abilityOrganized, proactive, and consistent with outreach and follow-throughAble to manage time independently and proactively manage up on workload, priorities, and blockersComfortable working in a flexible, fast-paced environmentBased in NYC is a plus, but not requiredCompensationFixed project feeBonus per new account openedNo long-term commission structureGoalThis is a focused sales sprint to build meaningful wholesale relationships in a curatedretail space.If interested, reach out with a brief intro and examples of brands or accounts you’veworked with.work@onlyny.com
