This role is primarily project-based and focused on sterile product development. Responsibilities include formulation composition and process development support, as well as the design, preparation, testing, and documentation of formulations and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare common formulation vehicles and reagentsMeasure solubility in buffers, biorelevant media, and organic solventsPrepare formulations and perform processing steps under aseptic conditionsExecute formulation development experiments, including support for:Solution formulationsLyophilized formulationsParticulate-based formulationsPrepare formulations in compliance with aseptic and GLP conditionsPerform basic analytical testing, including:pHOsmolalityParticle size measurementsHPLCMaintain clear, accurate, and compliant laboratory recordsSupport the upkeep of the laboratory working environmentComply with all safety policies and proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams on complex formulation development projectsInterface with operations personnel, management, and other scientific professionalsQualificationsRequiredBS or MS (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related fieldMinimum of 1 year of pharmaceutical industry experience in formulation and/or process developmentPreferredExperience with biologics and sterile formulationsExperience in process development, including mixing, pumping, and lyophilization studiesAdditional SkillsSelf-driven and able to work independentlyMeticulous execution and strong attention to detailExcellent documentation and record-keeping skillsAbility to meet timelines and learn quicklyAdditional InformationThe position is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday with overtime as needed.
