This Director of Finance & Accounting will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and provide strategic financial insight to leadership and the Board.Key Responsibilities of the Director of Finance & AccountingLead monthly and year-end close processesOversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningReview payroll processes (prepared by Staff Accountant)Manage audit preparation and external audit processPresent financial reports to Executive leadership and BoardOversee 401(k) and 403(b) administration (loans, rollovers, compliance)Maintain and enhance policies, procedures, and internal controlsPartner with operational leadership to support decision-makingTeam & Structure Reports directly to Executive DirectorDotted-line reporting to Board of DirectorsManages:Staff AccountantMedicare/Medicaid ConsultantSystems: Lawson ERP, UKG Pro PayrollIdeal Candidate ProfileThe Successful Director Of Finance & Accounting Will Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or BusinessCPA strongly preferred10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experienceExperience in senior living, healthcare, nonprofit, or similar environments (preferred)Proven leadership and people management experienceStrong presentation skills with ability to engage executive leadership and Board membersHands-on experience with:Financial reporting and close processesBudgeting and forecastingAudit managementPayroll oversightRetirement plan administrationWork Environment100% on-site in Columbia, MDStandard business hours with additional time required during close cycles and budgeting seasonHigh visibility, collaborative leadership setting#INMAY2026
