Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Operator A

Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse AUnder the direction of the supervisor, the Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse A stores and locates raw material, semi-finished, and finished parts following established storage layout and procedures.Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:Read routing sheets, blueprint, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.Operate forklift and hand truck to transport stored items from warehouse to shipping area. Assist with loading and unloading trucks.Receive packages from various overnight delivery services. Deliver package to proper personnel.Maintain inventory records. Notify Administrative Manager of low inventory supply.Transport materials and items from receiving or production areas or to storage.Watch for damaged, nicked, rusty, or faulty material or packages.Weigh or counts items for distribution within plant and before being shipped to ensure conformance to company standards.Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality and safety regulations.Perform the duties of the Shipper and Receiver as needed.Requires one to three years of trades training or equivalent experience plus one to three years' related experience. Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percent. Requires the ability to operate various equipment to include a computer, and various hand tools. Requires a basic knowledge of machine shop procedures. Requires ability to operator a forklift truck and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
