Job Title: R&D EngineerJob DescriptionAs an R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and enhancing mechanical products. The role focuses on design verification testing, developing and validating test methods, setting up simulations, and exercising design control over new products.Responsibilities+ Design and improve mechanical products with a focus on catheters.+ Conduct design verification testing to ensure product functionality and safety.+ Develop and validate test methods to assess product performance.+ Set up simulations to predict product behavior under various conditions.+ Oversee design changes, such as altering balloon size or modifying delivery mechanisms.+ Perform bench testing to verify product designs.+ Maintain design control of new product developments.Essential Skills+ Proficiency in SolidWorks for product design and simulation.+ Experience with Minitab for statistical analysis.+ Competency in mechanical testing methods, including Instron testing and fusing.+ Experience with guide wire manufacturing, understanding construction and testing processes.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Experience in catheter development and manufacturing.+ Ability to manage design changes and control new product developments.Work EnvironmentThe role involves working in a technologically advanced environment where precision and attention to detail are paramount. You will be using cutting-edge tools such as SolidWorks and Minitab. The position may require adherence to specific safety protocols and a collaborative approach to product development.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $70.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
