Job Title: Python Platform Engineer (DevOps & DevSecOps)Pay Rate: $90 /HRDuration: 12 monthsLocation: Irving, TXAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Python Platform Engineer (DevOps & DevSecOps) with strong DevOps expertise to help build enterprise engineering platforms, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native deployment solutions. You will play a key role in developing reusable engineering standards, deployment pipelines, DevSecOps automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions that improve software delivery across the organization.This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy building scalable platforms, mentoring technical teams, and driving enterprise engineering best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop Python applications, APIs, and automation frameworks.Build reusable GitHub Actions workflows and enterprise CI/CD pipelines.Automate deployments using OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Harness CD.Integrate security and compliance tools into CI/CD pipelines.Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform & Ansible).Create reusable engineering templates, reference architectures, and deployment standards.Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, Security, and Development teams.Mentor engineers and drive adoption of engineering best practices.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.10+ years of Python software development experience.10+ years building enterprise web applications using Django, FastAPI, or Flask.8+ years of DevOps and CI/CD automation experience.Strong GitHub Actions experience.5+ years with OpenShift or Kubernetes.Experience with Harness CD or similar deployment automation.Experience implementing DevSecOps controls including Sonar, Checkmarx, Black Duck, DAST, and Secret Scanning.Strong Terraform and Ansible experience.Experience mentoring engineering teams and leading technical initiatives.Nice to Have SkillsWagtail CMS / CodeRed CMSPytestArgoCDGitOpsSRE practicesDORA MetricsAPI-first architectureGitHub CopilotConda-Forge contributionsPixi Package ManagerOpen Source contributions
