Doctor of Medicine | Hospitalist Location: Savannah, GA Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Locums Hospital Medicine Physician to provide inpatient coverage at a 57-bed hospital in Vidalia, GA. This opportunity features a manageable census, no call, and an open ICU model with critical care support. Position Details Shift Options: Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Shift Length: 12 hours On Call: None Hospital Beds: 57 ICU Model: Open ICU Patient Volume Average Daily Census (ADC): ~50 Daily Admissions: Average of 4 per provider (including consults) Team average: 12 admissions/day Night team average: 8 admissions/night Daily Rounding Load: Average of 18 patients per provider Responsibilities Inpatient rounding and admissions ICU rounding as attending physician with critical care/consultant support Ventilator management, especially for nocturnists Collaborate with consultants and hospital staff to deliver high-quality care Ensure timely and accurate documentation Requirements MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Comfortable practicing in an open ICU environment Experience with ventilator management required Hospital medicine experience preferred Vidalia, Georgia is a small, close-knit community best known for its famous Vidalia onions, offering a relaxed pace of life, low cost of living, and easy access to coastal Georgia and Savannah.
