Investor Relations Associate (Client Services)

Job Overview:Elion is currently seeking a full-time, experienced investor relations professional. This client-facing, investor relations role will report directly to the Managing Director of Capital Markets. The candidate must be success-driven, have a marketing and design background, remain cognizant of investor needs, and have a relative knowledge of the industry and key stakeholders. The professional will be primarily responsible for supporting senior leadership with Elion’s fundraising initiatives and communications with global investors, prospects, and consultants.About the company: Elion Partners (“Elion”) is a tech-enabled alternative investment management firm focused on industrial and logistics real estate. Candidates with a team-driven approach who possess a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion will be well-aligned with Elion’s goals.Responsibilities:Liaise with Legal and Technology teams to manage and enhance the onboarding and subscription process for domestic and offshore investors through Elion’s proprietary technology, Elion Intelligence (“E.I.”)Prepare quarterly investor reports, and capital call and distribution notices, including managing the internal review and approval process, and issuing quarterly reports, capital account statements, and yearly tax reporting to investorsReview and process investor assignments, contact changes, and account changesManage anti-money laundering (“AML/KYC”) document collection and processing, and follow up with investors for missing information, if necessaryAssist with entity formation and dissolution and entity managementManage the onboarding and subscription process for all new investors, including assisting with ‘pre-closing’ workflows (signature processes), and post-closing workflows (document management)Maintain accurate and up-to-date investor accounts including document management and processingAssist with the organization and utilization of the investor portalUtilize, maintain, and update the CRM system with client/prospect information and activityWork closely with Fund Accounting and Tax teams to generate and distribute capital call and distribution notices, and manage all investor-facing capital activity eventsHandle all aspects of client account data requests which involve facilitating requests with internal teams including capital markets, portfolio management, real estate operations, finance, and legal/complianceIdentify, develop, and document operational procedures for ongoing fund maintenance and investor services and recommend best practice and process improvementsOrganize communications with institutional investors, HNW/family offices, and consultantDevelop and manage investor communication content and cadenceManage ongoing outreach with investors by answering questions, drafting responses, and communicating investor sentiment with senior managementHave a thorough understanding of investor’s goals/objectives and make sure all investors are given high-quality, responsive informationQualifications:Bachelor's degree with 3-5+ years of client service, operations, or related function at an alternative asset management firm, real estate private equity firm, or administratorAML/KYC, accounting, or operations experience in the financial services industry is a plusPre-existing paralegal and/or L&C experience at either a law firm or investment management firm (hedge or PE) is a plusInvestor-oriented mindsetMust be a self-starter with attention to detail and excellent organization and customer service skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple clientsComfortable with basic financial KPI terminologies (IRR, MOIC, DPI, TVPI) and can translate concepts into marketing materials that are compliant with the Investment Advisers ActAbility to effectively maintain databases, keep accurate to-do lists, and follow up with all investor requestsExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsMust be a team player with the ability to problem solve and take initiativeProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel)Elion has an internal methodology encompassed in The Elion Way ("TEW") that drives every interaction, transaction, or initiative.
