Plant Operator

Plant OperatorMartin Marietta is seeking a Plant Operator to work out of our Granite Quarry in Granite Falls, MN. This position will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating and maintaining plant processing equipment. The Plant Operator will run and monitor plant operations from a centralized location under the direction of the Plant Manager and Foreman. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor; participate in safety inspections and plant safety program. This is a non-union position.Essential FunctionsOperates, monitors, and maintains plant processing equipment within the company guidelines and safety standards.Daily pre-and post-inspections of the work area.Monitors/maintain load-out area and operates mobile equipment as needed.Assist with maintenance on the plant, including repairs, preventive items.Always ensures a safe work environment for self and others.Assist with training of co-workers as needed.Collaborative with Team members.Other duties as assigned.Preferred Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.1 + years of related experienceValid US Driver's LicenseStrong organizational skills, including planning, scheduling, prioritizing, and record-keeping.Required QualificationsAble to adhere to MSHA & OSHA guidelines and Company Safety rules and regulations.Be willing to take an active role in the plant safety initiatives.Be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.Willing to cross-train in different areas of production and general operations.Work Environment This role will be based out of the Yellow Medicine Quarry located in Granite Falls, MN. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position that regularly requires Monday Friday as well as some weekend work.
