Process EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Process Engineer to design, optimize and scale manufacturing processes that ensure safety, reliability and cost-effective production. The role focuses on continuous improvement, process control and cross-functional project leadership to improve quality and throughput while meeting regulatory and environmental standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield and product quality.Lead process scale-up and new product introductions, coordinating with R&D, operations, quality and supply chain.Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean and other methodologies to reduce waste and lower operating costs.Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of process upsets, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, P&IDs, work instructions, SOPs and technical documentation.Use data analysis and process modeling tools to monitor process performance and support decision making.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements; participate in hazard analyses and risk assessments.Manage small to medium-sized projects, including scope, schedule, budget and stakeholder communication.Train operations personnel on process changes, best practices and quality standards.QualificationsBachelors degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline; Masters degree preferred.3+ years of experience in process engineering within manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals or related industries.Experience with process design, scale-up, process control, P&ID development and technical documentation.Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling tools (e.g., Minitab, MATLAB, Python, Aspen) and experience with statistical process control.Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing engineering projects to completion.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred; demonstrated experience applying Six Sigma/Lean methodologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into operational practice.
