Warner Construction team is growing and searching for an Assistant Superintendent to join their group of highly skilled construction professionals. Our team has extensive experience in managing all phases of the construction process. Warner Construction, in Frederick Maryland, specializes in base building and commercial construction of Office Buildings, Industrial, Educational, Government, Healthcare, Life Science, and Hospitality building.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assistant Superintendents will assist in managing a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation for commercial base building and commercial renovation projects.
Exceed client expectations for each project by understanding client needs, wants, preferences and culture.
Assist with supporting all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control and a clean site.
Foster and maintain positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors.
Maintain and review punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner.
Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections.
Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to assist Superintendent with budget and timeline.
Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
Assist with maintaining a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to Superintendent or management as necessary.
Support all changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
Implement Superintendent's management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
Qualifications:
2 plus years of work experience in the field working on commercial construction base building projects with at least one project for start to close out.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil, Industrial, Mechanical or related field and work experience or Internships with base building commercial construction.
Excellent communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening.
Proven track record of meeting deadlines and construction budgeting best practices.
Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
Cool under pressure especially during peak workload times and tight deadlines.
Task oriented, organized and is a “roll-up- your sleeves”, hands on leader and team player.
Leadership abilities, like motivation, goal setting, and conflict management.
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
