Electrical Coordinator IIIExperience Level: 10+ YearsLocation: Wilsonville, AlabamaClient- Plant Gaston- Southern Company SercvicesPosition OverviewThe Electrical Coordinator III plays a critical role in coordinating and overseeing electrical systems and construction activities related to power generation, transmission, and distribution.This position ensures the safe, reliable, and compliant installation, maintenance, and upgrade of electrical systems in power plants, substations, and related facilities. The ideal candidate brings strong field coordination experience, working knowledge of medium and high-voltage systems, and the ability to manage contractors and complex electrical projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceAbide by all safety rules and promote a strong safety-first cultureEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations and environmental standardsEnsure adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC) and other regulatory requirementsEnforce safety standards to protect personnel, equipment, and the environment Project Coordination & OversightManage electrical construction, maintenance, and upgrade projectsDevelop and support project plans, schedules, and budgetsFacilitate work performed under lump sum contractsAssist discipline lead with contract administrationAttend project meetings (pre-bid, pre-mobilization, contractor orientation, JSBs, etc.)Coordinate electrical activities with project team members Installation & Field SupportIdentify installation issues and assist in developing corrective solutionsEnsure corrective actions are executed by contractors, vendors, or craft personnelOversee quality control of electrical systems and componentsMonitor installation of:Medium and high voltage systemsConduits and cable tray systemsCable supports and cable pulling operations Maintenance & System UpgradesCoordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshooting effortsPlan and manage electrical system upgrades for improved efficiency and reliabilitySupport modernization of substations and control systemsAssist with renewable energy integration where applicable Documentation & Record KeepingMaintain detailed records of electrical systems, inspections, maintenance, and equipment specificationsEnsure quality requirements of plans, specifications, and standards are met Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field10+ years of related experience in electrical coordination or construction oversightExperience in power generation, transmission, or distribution environments Skills & ExpertiseSelf-starter with proactive leadership approachStrong communication and coordination skillsKnowledge of OSHA and environmental regulationsUnderstanding of construction practices, techniques, and quality requirementsFamiliarity with construction contracts and labor agreementsAbility to interface with contractors, designers, vendors, and project stakeholdersWorking knowledge of medium and high voltage installation and commissioningKnowledge of best practices for conduit, cable tray, supports, and cable pulling techniques
