This role is part of a critical capital improvement effort focused on modernizing essential treatment systems within an active facility.You will work alongside senior field leadership to help oversee construction activities, maintain quality standards, and ensure coordination across multiple trades in a highly regulated environment. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving real-time challenges, and contributing to complex infrastructure projects that directly impact public systems.What You'll DoAssist with day-to-day oversight of construction activities across civil, mechanical, and utility scopesPerform field inspections to verify work aligns with contract documents, drawings, and specificationsMonitor contractor performance, sequencing, and coordination within an active facilityDocument site progress through daily reports, photos, and detailed field logsReview RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings, providing practical field inputTrack installed quantities and support progress payment verificationCoordinate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to address field conditions and issuesMaintain organized records including inspection reports, correspondence, and project documentationSupport enforcement of safety requirements, environmental controls, and permit complianceAssist with system testing, punch list development, and project closeout activitiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field3–7 years of experience in construction inspection, field engineering, or construction managementExperience working on water, wastewater, or utility infrastructure projects preferredFamiliarity with treatment plant systems, mechanical equipment, or process infrastructure is a plusAbility to work full-time on-site in an active construction environmentStrong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and documentationExcellent communication and organizational skillsBonus: Prior experience on NYCDEP projects or familiarity with NYCDEP standards, procedures, and capital programs is a strong plusEIT preferred; PE a plusJoin us as we redefine excellence in engineering and construction management, shaping tomorrow's infrastructure landscape with innovation and precision. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
