Assistant Property Manager

Job Description Position OverviewA growing multifamily management company is seeking an experienced and highly organized Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of a conventional apartment community in Cypress, Texas. This role partners closely with the Property Manager to help drive occupancy, resident satisfaction, leasing performance, delinquency management, and operational execution.The ideal candidate is resident-focused, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable working within a fast-paced multifamily environment utilizing industry-leading platforms including Yardi, CRM systems, and operational technology tools. Key ResponsibilitiesProperty OperationsAssist in the daily operations and overall performance of the apartment communitySupport occupancy, leasing, renewal, and resident retention goalsEnsure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, company policies, and operational proceduresMaintain accurate resident files, lease documentation, and reporting within Yardi's CRMIQPartner with Maintenance and onsite teams to support efficient unit turn coordination and resident communication utilizing PM software systemsResident Relations & Customer ExperienceDeliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residentsProfessionally resolve resident concerns, escalations, and service-related issuesAssist with move-in, move-out, and renewal processesSupport online reputation management initiatives and resident engagement effortsMaintain consistent communication with residents regarding balances, notices, lease obligations, and community updatesFinancial & Administrative ResponsibilitiesProcess rental payments, NSF activity, and delinquency follow-up within Yardi VoyagerAssist with collections processes, payment arrangements, and balance managementSupport invoice processing, reporting, and month-end administrative functionsMaintain accuracy of resident ledgers, lease files, and operational reportingAssist with vendor coordination and purchasing processes when neededLeasing, CRM & Marketing SupportConduct apartment tours and support leasing conversion goalsFollow up on leads and prospect communication through CRM platforms and automated lead nurturing systemsAssist with leasing traffic management, guest card follow-up, and application processingSupport community marketing efforts including social media engagement, outreach marketing, and reputation managementUtilize Yardi CRM, RentCafe, and lead management tools to maintain leasing performance and prospect engagement Technology & Systems Experience PreferredExperience with the following platforms is strongly preferred:Yardi CRM IQ + 3rd Party IntegrationsMicrosoft Office Suite- Office 365 Qualifications3+ years of multifamily property management experience preferredPrevious Assistant Manager or high-performing Leasing Consultant experience preferredKnowledge of Fair Housing regulations and multifamily operationsStrong organizational, administrative, and customer service skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsProfessional demeanor with strong problem-solving abilitiesExperience working within property management software systems Preferred ExperienceConventional multifamily community operationsDelinquency and collections managementLease administration and renewalsResident retention initiativesVendor coordination and invoice processingLeasing CRM workflows and lead managementYardi software ecosystem experience Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceLeasing commissions and performance bonus opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth and advancement opportunitiesOngoing training and professional development Ideal Candidate TraitsStrong sense of urgency and accountabilityPositive, team-oriented attitudeOperationally organized with strong attention to detailComfortable handling difficult conversations professionallyTech-savvy and adaptable to new systems and processesMotivated by performance goals, occupancy success, and resident satisfaction To Apply:Please submit your resume along with relevant multifamily and property management software experience for consideration.
