Job Title: RN SICU Location: Chattanooga TN Shift: 12hr, NIGHT , 36hr/week Hospital: Location: Parkridge Medical Center Address: 2333 McCallie Avenue Chattanooga, TN 37404 Unit Name: SICU Building: Parkridge Main Hospital Cost Center: 650 (PMC) General Information Unit Specifics: · Number of Beds: 12 · Patient Ratios: Standard ICU 1RN:2 Patients unless higher or lower acuity · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): 1 dayshift secretary, primary RN staffing · Type of equipment: Standard critical care equipment plus Impella, Hemosphere advance monitoring platform. · Documentation system: Meditech · Scheduling requirements: Participative scheduling. Manager reserves right to move staff around to fill in gaps in schedule at time of submission, minimum 3 weekend shifts per month, block scheduling not guaranteed. · Floating policy: Must float to other units in the facility as required. PCU/Medical surgical · Patient Experience requirements: Nurses explain care and medications, nurses treat with courtesy and respect, call light answered timely. Hospital Specifics- · Certifications: ACLS, BLS. CCRN a plus. Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have: Cardiac critical care experience Advanced skills needed: Ability to care for post open heart minimum of 1 to 2 days postop. Impella heart pump, CRRT a plus. Critical care team responds to rapids and code blue. Procedures performed on unit: Intubations, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS minimum. CCRN a plus Dress Code: (Required uniform) · Navy Scrubs Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines. · Designated critical care staff respond to rapids and codes.
