Every role is critical at RPI, and as part of our team you will be able to make a difference in our region and see the results of your work firsthand!Position Summary:The Marketing Director is responsible for creating integrated communication strategies and plans aligning with RPI’s strategic goals and ensuring consistent and impactful brand messaging through all channels. Leading a talented team of staff, this role develops and implements strategies for the marketing, communications, and event functions of the organization. Key Responsibilities:· Provide strong and visible leadership to the Marketing & Communications team, guiding them in achieving strategic objectives.· Oversee brand development and management, ensuring consistency in messaging, visuals, and communications across all platforms. · Develop and manage organizational marketing and communications initiatives such as websites, social media, email campaigns, videos, marketing materials, and other projects as needed.· Act as media liaison, oversee organizational announcements and appearances, and serve as spokesperson as needed. · Develop RPI’s event strategy, ensuring events remain aligned with organizational goals.· Write and edit articles, speeches, and marketing communications content. Skills and Qualifications:· Strong strategic planning and execution skills for integrated communication strategies. At least 8 years of marketing experience for an economic development, non-profit, or professional services firm is required.· Solid leadership skills to guide teams and collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners. At least 5 years of direct supervisory experience is preferred.· Experience in managing communications vendors, from selection to ongoing oversight. · Strong written and verbal communication skills.
