Private Bankers are able to add value to clients by building and drawing upon a network of internal resources, often global, to achieve desired results. Successful Bankers are able to develop and adapt a disciplined sales process to convert a pipeline of prospects into target market clients. In addition, they are able to deliver quality Private Bank client relationships (solutions and services) in an intensely competitive fragmented market, taking fullest advantage of the Citi franchise while protecting the Bank and client/firm by complying with relevant policies, procedures, and country legal/regulatory requirements.Job RequirementsNew Client and Business DevelopmentGrow client net revenue annually in core product areas: investment management, capital markets, and banking & lendingCreate sales and marketing strategies designed to generate revenue growth and to acquire new target clients within different sectorsProspecting generate leads and develop prospects, network to identify referrals to new clients/prospectsProfile, qualify, and convert prospects into CPB clients.Identify and execute on new business opportunities with existing clientsOrchestrate appropriate specialist resources to develop tailored, long-term solutions for clients/prospectsPresent and communicate to clients/prospects complex financial concepts and investment strategies in a way that is easily understoodRelationship ManagementServe as the client's advocate and trusted advisor (primary contact) for strategic advice on financial mattersCreate, organize, and implement a wealth management strategy designed to deepen relationships with existing clientsManage client expectations regarding what can and cannot be executed on their behalfEnsure financial strategies are kept current and appropriately aligned with client objectivesUnderstand and communicate the risk involved with financial and investment strategiesEnsure all client inquiries and problems are handled effectively and resolvedHelp team members to acquire experience and establish credibility with clientsCompliance Oversight and ControlsComply with all regulatory policies and control procedures regarding client transactions and suitabilityOversee and ensure compliance with the following processes: Investment Objective Setting (IOS), Client Risk Profile (CRF), Periodic Client ReviewsOversee and ensure clients are on-boarded appropriately including all required documentation is complete and accurateAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Skills and KnowledgeClient facing experience, preferably in the financial services industry. Strong knowledge of investments, banking and credit productsStrong knowledge of financial industry and current market conditionsStrong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, team work and analytical skillsAbility to establish relationships and partner effectively with various groups including sales, service, operations, compliance, and marketingAbility to understand, utilize and learn computer and web based applicationsQualifications and Education15+ years of experienceLicensing: Series 7 & 66 (or 63 & 65) & 31Extensive and proven experience in Private Banking having covered the UHNW market / Extensive experience in working with and/or leading client teams and transactions / Demonstrated track record in relationship sellingDemonstrates extensive knowledge of all Citi Private Bank banking and product systems, platforms, tools and capabilities.
